Asking for a review
Have you had your Social Fund application reviewed by the Social Security Agency?
Are you unhappy with the outcome?
Then you have the right to an independent Review.
The following pages tell you how to ask for a review in English and other languages, and some Frequently Asked Questions about the Social Fund.
Getting your case re-opened
Although the Inspector's decision is usually the end of the review process, the case will be re-opened when :
- a relevant fact has been overlooked
- a relevant fact has been incorrectly recorded
- the Inspector has not applied the law correctly
- the Inspector was not aware of evidence that existed at the time the Inspector's decision was made.
We will acknowledge receipt of your complaint letter on the day it is received. A full response will be issued within 12 working days of the receipt of the complaint.
